Neil has been coaching 12U boys' volleyball with the WVC for the past year. He holds a coaching certification from the NCCP. Neil's passion for volleyball dates back to his high school years and continued as he played college volleyball at Augustana University and Lakeland College, where he earned the Athlete of the Year title. Presently, he actively participates in the Men's League Tier 1 in Edmonton and even represented FOG Canada at the US Open in Dallas, Texas in 2023.
Neil was raised on a dairy farm in Westlock County, where he now works full-time. He has four young boys who share his passion for volleyball. As his children grow in the sport, Neil's goal is to continue coaching to guide them and other young athletes in their pursuit of volleyball. He is a firm believer in the ability of team sports to promote community, teamwork, and communication among individuals.
